He married Dorothy Ruby BROWN of Newmarket in Q2-1938.
In the 1939 register, at Cotton End, Exning were his father Frederick W [19-10-1882] widower, racehorse studman, brother Douglas T [24-1-1909] racehorse studman and Air Raid Precautions warden, sister in law Audrey E [4-6-1910] and their son Peter D BOWMAN [24-11-1930]. It seems that his mother died in 1931. Dorothy has not been identified in this register |
The 13th August 1944 was the day Florence was captured by the Allies. The Buffs were the first to enter the city. Originally temporarily buried AC/AGR/2020/22 GRU, he was re-interred in Florence War Cemetery on 26th February 1945 |
